Where Does the Time Go?

Whoa!  It has been awhile since the girls and I last checked in!  It's crazy, I know, since I do stay home all day (unless we go shopping or invade the beach).  But life has been a whirlwind needless to say!  Winter came, with full force; Spring finally decided to show up allowing us to experience all the new growth and flowers we have planted around our house.  Now summer is here.

I think it's safe to say the girls LOVE the beach.  Kassidy got to experience her first "real" beach experience last week.  This girl has no fear of anything.  She loves to jump, sit, splash in the water.  She could care less about the sand, rocks, or shells.  She just wants the water!  Luckily, Baylee is good about being in the water so most of my attention can be on Kassi making sure she does go walking in past her head! :)  What a trip she is!

The girls have grown up so much in the past few months.  I love seeing the interaction between them both.  How they always hug and kiss each other good night.  How they carry their dolls around and feed them.  How their personalities reflect either Greg or I!  I do have to say that I am so thankful for the memories and the joy of family.  How our lives in the past year have been altered, but our value of family is still the same.

A Glimpse

This summer came and left...
I'm actually sitting down thinking about all the different things that happend this summer; those good, those not so good and it makes me realize how valuable each and every day is.  I think about all the "new" things that Kassidy has learned to do in the past few weeks.  She's pulling herself up on the furniture, crawling, saying "dada", even trying to walk.  Mind you, she is only 6 months old.  I think of Baylee and how much she has grown up.  Her vocabulary is amazing and with such clarity, she explains out everything to me.
 "Hey, momma, what you doin'?"

I think about what our family has and is going through with the loss of my girls' uncle.  Such a sudden removal of someone so invested in their lives.  This loss makes me "wish" that they could have just a few more memories with their Uncle Jeff.  But then, my wish list would continue on forever.  This loss also makes me grateful for the memories they do have with him.

My girls are incredible.  Each and every day brings out something new and better than the day before.

Happy

Recently, we have been enduring uncharacteristically HOT weather here in Rhode Island.  So after a few consecutive days of over 90 degree weather, it was starting to take a "toll" on everyone's attitudes, especially mine for some reason.  Greg decided that it would be so much fun to get out of the air conditioned apartment and take a walk on the Cliffwalk with a hot, panting 90lb labrador, a sleepy two year old, and 5 mo old that just wants to roll around.  We pack ourselves in a car with minimal air conditioning and off we go to the Cliffwalk.  I'm sitting in the car, thinking to myself, "this is such a bad idea".  The whole 3 mile trip, I kept wanting to turn around and go back home, but then something happend in the back seat of the car.

"PEEK-A-BOO!!" (giggles) "PEEK-A-BOO KASSI!!"  (giggles)

We park the car at the Cliffwalk and Greg and I pretend not to hear Baylee and Kassidy playing peek-a-boo in the back seat of the car.  These two girls didn't care if it's 100 degrees, they just wanted to have fun.  Immediately, my eyes began to tear up.  Listening to their laughter and joy for one another.  Happiness filled the car and all attitudes flew out the window.

Needless to say, we had a good walk...

Sisterhood

Someday I want my girls to say,

"Mom and Dad, you guys are too cool!"

I know that may sound ridiculous to some, but I want my girls to have experience and enjoy our company as much as we want to be with them. Even in the past 4 months, I have seen a sisterhood be established between my two girls that makes me melt. From a simple hug and kiss at bedtime to the standing applause Baylee gives Kassidy when she rolls over, I know that the life that these two little girls will lead is not going to be an ordinary one, but in fact, an extra-ordinary one. You know that old saying, "no one sticks closer than a brother"...these girls are redefining that.

Spring has Sprung...I think

As you may notice, we are a little behind in our postings. Maybe due to the fact that there's a new little beach baby that has entered our family. On February 5th, we welcomed
Kassidy Jenae Rosinski into our family and what an entrance she has made. Not only weighing in at a healthy 10lbs 12oz, she has the most beautiful baby blue eyes. (Thanks Dad!) She is a true blessing and we are so thankful for her!...plus she sleeps through the night as an added bonus! :)

We also recently took a trip to Texas to see papa, nana, and the uncles. Baylee enjoyed her last free plane ride and Kassidy embraced her first...by sleeping the entire time. We had a fantastic time with family.

It's Fall!

Well, lots has gone on since August! My grandparents and uncles came to visit me from Texas and boy did we have a great time! It was nice and hot and sunny so we went to the beach everyday! It was sure nice to see them and I get to go on an airplane soon and see them once again!

My cousin D and I went to the corn maze at Escobar's Farm a few days ago! Good thing Aunt Molly had a map otherwise we would have gotten lost! We also milked a cow and had a hay fight too! It was so much fun!

Have I mentioned that I'm going to be a BIG SISTER!!! I'm sure I have! I'm so excited! I have been practicing with all my dollies and I take good care of them! I'll be able to help out mom all the time! As long as Koda doesn't get in the way!

Summer Time!!

Well, we've been busy this summer doing all sorts of new things! I love going to the beach and have discovered that I love the sand! I enjoy playing it in, throwing it, digging in it, as well as eating it! I think it tastes just wonderful!!

I also enjoy taking long walks to the cliff walk! I especially like them with Koda. I'm almost big enough where I can walk him on my own!

I have also discovered that I can open the fridge! I love whipped cream!! It's almost better than ice cream!

I even went to my first polo game with Uncle Jeff, Aunt Molly, and my cousin D. It was pretty cool! I really was more interested in the big dog that was sitting by us as well as everyone's food! :)

Mom especially loves it when I fall asleep...even if it is only for 20 minutes!!

Oh p.s.: I'm gonna be a big sister in January!!! :)
